About
Jessica Bowen is a Welsh pianist, music teacher, small-business owner and composer.
Jessica achieved a first-class Bachelor's degree in music from the University of Birmingham and later went on to specialise in composing, gaining an MA in Composition for Film and Television from the University of Bristol. She is a keen musician, having achieved a distinction in her piano performance diploma and also holds grade eight distinctions on the alto saxophone and clarinet.
Jessica teaches music at Shrewsbury High School GDST and is a pianist based in the Shropshire area. She is also the co-founder of 'The Piano Furniture Shop'. Founded by herself and her partner in October 2020, their business "upcycles" old, unplayable pianos into furniture and gifts.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys composing and producing music for small independent film/tv companies from the UK.
